Chinese chipmaker SpacemiT launched its K3 AI CPU on January 29, 2026, a mass-production-ready RISC-V processor compliant with the RVA23 standard.
The chip features eight high-performance cores, supports 1024-bit vector extensions and FP8 precision, delivers up to 60 TOPS of AI performance, and targets edge computing with 15–25 watt efficiency.
It supports large-scale AI models and multiple operating systems, aiming to advance open-source hardware in intelligent devices.
Initial shipments are set for late April 2026.
