Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced the transfer of Rs. 641.34 crore to 68.47 lakh women as the 24th instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, a scheme launched in March 2024 providing married women aged 21 and above with Rs. 1,000 monthly via direct benefit transfer. Since its launch, the state has disbursed Rs. 15,595.77 crore to promote women's economic empowerment and dignity. In a separate event, the CM laid the foundation for the Chitrotpala International Film City and Tribal and Cultural Convention Centre in Naya Raipur, a project led by Rajnandini Entertainment Ltd and Indradeep Infra Ltd with support from filmmaker Anil Sharma, aiming to establish Chhattisgarh as a hub for cinema and culture.
