The Army’s 101st Airborne Division began training with Marine Ospreys ahead of early 2026 MV-75 delivery for remote, contested missions.
In January 2026, the Army’s 101st Airborne Division conducted a 21-day training exercise using Marine Corps MV-22 Ospreys to prepare for the upcoming deployment of the Bell MV-75, the Army’s new Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft.
The MV-75, designed for speed and range—320 mph and 920 miles—will replace aging Black Hawks and feature an all-digital platform for rapid upgrades.
Selected for its mission in contested, remote areas, the 101st will be the first unit to receive the aircraft.
Originally slated for 2031–2032 delivery, production has accelerated, with prototypes expected to fly by year-end 2026.
