Arasan launches first combo chip for flash memory types, cutting size, power, and cost.

Arasan Chip Systems has launched the industry’s first xSPI NOR and eMMC NAND Combo PHY IP, enabling single-chip support for both flash memory types. The solution, designed for automotive, industrial, and IoT systems, reduces silicon size, power use, and cost by sharing I/O and analog components. It targets mission-critical applications in defense, aerospace, and medical devices, supporting process nodes from 28nm to 3nm. The IP is now available for licensing.
