Twenty-seven energy-efficient homes built in Bellsmyre, funded by Scotland, replace old flats and boost affordable housing.
Twenty-seven new energy-efficient homes have been completed in Bellsmyre, West Dunbartonshire, as part of a £7.3 million regeneration project.
Funded in part by £4.4 million from the Scottish Government, the first phase delivered mixed-size homes on Whiteford Avenue, replacing ageing flats and providing affordable housing for local families.
The project, aligned with Scotland’s Housing Emergency Action Plan, aims to deliver 138 new social rented homes over five years, enhance public spaces, and improve community safety and connectivity.
Residents called the move life-changing, and phase two is scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
