Sophie Molineux has been named captain of Australia’s women’s cricket team across all formats, succeeding retiring star Alyssa Healy.
The 28-year-old left-arm spinner will lead the team in the upcoming three-match T20 series against India starting February 15.
She is supported by vice-captains Tahlia McGrath and Ashleigh Gardner.
The squad includes returnee Nicola Carey and debutant left-arm fast bowler Lucy Hamilton, while Alana King and Megan Schutt are omitted.
