The Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, led by Yu Long, will tour Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore from March 13 to 23, 2026, performing five concerts in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, and Singapore.
The program features works by Chinese composers Elliot Leung and Chen Qigang, including Leung’s Chinese Kitchen: A Feast of Flavors and Chen Qigang’s Piano Concerto: Er Huang, alongside Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov pieces.
Soloists Wang Jian and Serena Wang, making her Australasian debut, will perform.
The tour marks the orchestra’s return to Australia and New Zealand and its first visit to Singapore, continuing its 146-year tradition of global cultural outreach.
