Samsung’s S26 series will offer satellite texting and emergency SOS in the U.S. starting March 11.
FCC filings confirm the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra will support satellite communication via SCS and NTN technologies, enabling text messaging and emergency SOS without cellular service, primarily in the U.S.
The feature, likely using Skylo, is expected to launch with limited availability and may not include full voice or data.
All models will include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth LE, NFC, UWB, and wireless charging.
The phones are set to launch February 25, with availability starting March 11.
