The first level is free, but participants must buy the coin or its packaging—available in uncirculated (£22.50), silver proof (£149.50), or gold (£5,195) versions—to advance. The competition, open to UK residents aged 18 and over, offers a 250g gold bar worth about £28,000–£29,000 as the grand prize. Hints are released in waves starting January 29, with updates on the Royal Mint’s website. One winner will be selected at random after the deadline and notified by email. The coin, not entering circulation, is a collectible designed with hidden puzzles.
