Nokia's CEO says Europe and the U.S. must cooperate to stay competitive amid rising tech dependence and security concerns.
Nokia CEO Justin Hotard stated on January 29, 2026, that Europe and the U.S. are mutually dependent for technological advancement, stressing that large tech firms need access to both markets to remain competitive amid rapid innovation cycles.
He highlighted growing European efforts to reduce reliance on foreign suppliers, particularly China, positioning Nokia and Ericsson as secure Western alternatives amid security concerns.
