On January 29, 2026, the Spokane Homeless Connect event at the Spokane Convention Center served nearly 1,900 people with essential services including SNAP enrollment, ID renewals, medical care, housing assistance, legal aid, and free haircuts by cosmetology students.
The event, now held annually since 2020, also provided pet services, winter coats, and support for those facing housing instability.
Over 450 volunteers helped run 125 service booths, with organizers anticipating a larger turnout than last year.
Attendees, including those recently housed, praised the event for offering dignity and critical resources.
Planning for next year’s spring event has already begun.
