A gold discovery at Ontario’s South Uchi Project shows promise for a large, district-scale deposit.
Auranova Resources and Kenorland Minerals reported results from a 2025 winter drill program at Ontario’s South Uchi Project, completing 13 holes totaling 7,075 meters.
The program expanded the Papaonga gold target north and east and identified a new, untested gold-bearing structural corridor beneath glacial cover.
Key findings include a high-grade intercept of 5.42 g/t gold over 1.80 meters, including 12.70 g/t over 0.40 meters, along with broad zones of quartz-sericite alteration and disseminated sulfides across a 200-meter-wide zone.
These results suggest a large-scale mineralizing system with district-scale potential.
A follow-up drill program of up to 3,000 meters is planned for Q1 2026, focusing on the northern corridor over up to eight kilometers of strike.
