The Akshaya Patra Foundation highlighted food and nutrition security at the 2026 World Economic Forum in Davos by operating a daily food kiosk serving over a thousand visitors nutritious Indian meals.
Inaugurated by CII’s Director General and visited by Indian officials, the initiative showcased the organization’s 25-year effort to provide school lunches under India’s PM POSHAN program, reaching over 2.3 million children across 16 states and three Union Territories.

With support from the World Food Movement, Akshaya Patra aims to feed 3 million children globally by 2030, framing child nutrition as a critical investment in societal progress.
