Ontario police probe Jake’s House over $8.9M in grants, focusing on finances and contracts.
The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating Jake’s House, an autism support charity, over its handling of $8.9 million in provincial grants from 2022 to 2024, including $3.98 million from the Skills Development Fund in 2023.
The probe, launched after a Treasury Board audit was referred to law enforcement in September 2025, focuses on financial management and contracts.
While the charity has not been charged and has not commented, officials confirm it is cooperating.
The investigation is separate from a similar probe into Keel Digital Solutions.
The social services ministry stressed accountability and compliance with funding rules.
