Ohio billionaire Les Wexner is set to be deposed by Congress on February 18 as part of a House committee investigation into his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
The committee subpoenaed Wexner, stating he was part of Epstein’s inner circle and had financial and personal connections, including Epstein managing his money and receiving support for a New York mansion.
Wexner, who built a retail empire and served on Ohio State University’s board, is also facing scrutiny over allegations involving former team doctor Richard Strauss, accused of abusing athletes during Wexner’s tenure.
Both Strauss and Epstein died by suicide.
Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries, another former Wexner employee, is preparing for a criminal trial on sex trafficking charges.
The probe continues to expand.
