Google has launched AI-powered, conversational photo editing in India, Australia, and Japan, allowing Android users to edit images using text or voice commands via the "Help me edit" feature. Powered by Gemini, the tool enables personalized edits—like removing sunglasses or making someone smile—using private face groups, and supports multiple Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, and Bengali. Users can also apply generative edits with "Nano Banana," restore damaged photos, and add elements like furniture or costumes. The feature requires Android 8.0 or later and at least 4GB of RAM. Google is adding C2PA Content Credentials to label AI edits and track changes, promoting transparency.
