Canada Post honors Black Canadian hip-hop pioneers with special stamps for Black History Month.
Canada Post has released its first-ever stamps honoring Black Canadian hip-hop pioneers for Black History Month, featuring Maestro Fresh Wes, Michie Mee, and Quebec group Muzion.
The stamps, unveiled at a private event, showcase glowing fluorescent inks, metallic portraits, and textured varnishes.
The artists, recognized for shaping Canadian hip-hop, expressed emotional pride, with Mee calling it a dream and Wes highlighting his father’s role in the photo.
Designed by Toronto studio typotherapy, the stamps are available to the public starting Wednesday, following last year’s tribute to Marie Joseph Angélique.
