British man arrested in Thailand for killing wife during resort argument, fled on motorcycle, faces up to death penalty.
A 56-year-old British man, Anthony Condron, has been arrested in Thailand in connection with the shooting death of his wife, Pattanee Urapanom, 43, at a resort in Maha Sarakham.
Police say she was found dead on a motorcycle after an argument, and Condron fled on a white Isuzu motorbike before being captured nearly 80 miles away in Khon Kaen.
Authorities allege he was armed and posed a public safety risk.
Condron, a retired man who lived in Thailand for about ten years, reportedly told police he felt neglected while ill. His wife, a well-liked homestay owner and volunteer, has left her community devastated.
If convicted, he could face 20 years in prison or the death penalty.
