He attended India’s 77th Republic Day celebrations, praising the event and highlighting US-made aircraft in the parade as a sign of deepening US-India strategic ties. India and the EU also finalized a major trade and security agreement, expected to open EU markets to Indian exports worth about Rs 6.4 lakh crore.
