UAE and Mauritius boost trade under new pact, targeting $500M in non-oil exports by 2030.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted Mauritius’ Minister of Housing and Lands at ACRES 2026, advancing bilateral ties under the UAE-Mauritius CEPA. The agreement, effective April 2025, eliminates tariffs on most trade, targeting $500 million in non-oil trade within five years. Officials discussed cooperation in manufacturing, logistics, food security, and real estate, highlighting Sharjah’s infrastructure and Mauritius’ freeport as gateways to Africa. A memorandum with Mauritius’ Economic Development Board aims to boost business links, building on an 82.5% trade rise in early 2024.
