A one-of-a-kind 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X, part of the Stars & Steel special edition, sold for $2.6 million at Barrett-Jackson’s Scottsdale auction, with proceeds benefiting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
The car, featuring a hand-painted Stars and Stripes design, blue accents, and a 1,250-horsepower twin-turbo engine, was bid on by Rick Hendrick, a longtime collector.
The sale supports families of fallen first responders and veterans.
The winning buyer will also participate in assembling the car’s engine at GM’s Bowling Green plant.
This marks a milestone in Chevrolet’s 15-year charity auction partnership with Barrett-Jackson, which has raised $15.5 million for various causes.
