Nissan recalls 26,432 vehicles over faulty door striker plates that may open while driving.

Nissan is recalling about 26,432 2025–2026 model vehicles, including Sentra, Altima, Frontier, and Kicks, due to improperly welded door striker plates that may break, causing doors to open while driving. The defect could lead to sudden door openings without warning, posing a safety risk. Owners will be notified by mail starting March 13, 2026, and can get free inspections and repairs at dealerships.
