A Metra train hit a snowplow in Bartlett, injuring the driver critically and disrupting service.

A Metra MD-W train struck a snowplow operated by a Village of Bartlett public works employee on Monday morning near Bartlett station, critically injuring the 64-year-old driver. The collision occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Oak Avenue and Railroad Avenue. The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and Metra service was temporarily suspended, with delays persisting after operations resumed. The Metra Police Department and OSHA are investigating the incident, which caused significant disruption to the Milwaukee District West line.
