Eaton will spin off its vehicle and eMobility units into a new public company by end of 2027.
Eaton plans to spin off its Vehicle and eMobility businesses into a separate, publicly traded company called the Mobility Group by the end of Q1 2027.
The move, part of its 2030 growth strategy, aims to sharpen focus on higher-margin Electrical and Aerospace operations amid rising demand in data centers, utilities, aerospace, and defense.
The separation, expected to boost organic growth and operating margins, will give the Mobility Group greater flexibility to innovate and grow independently in commercial vehicles, EV technologies, and off-highway equipment.
The transaction is tax-free for shareholders and subject to regulatory approval.
