David Massa acquitted in NSW court of sexual assault charges from 2024 nightclub incident.
David Charles Massa, 47, was acquitted of two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and two counts of sexual touching without consent in the NSW District Court on Tuesday, following a 18-month trial over an incident in June 2024 at Universal Sydney nightclub’s smoking room.
He was accused of placing his hands into another man’s underwear and molesting him briefly before smelling his fingers.
The trial, which cost Massa $130,000 in legal fees, ended with a not-guilty verdict, which he called “justice served.” The case highlighted the challenges of proving consent in sexual assault cases and the personal toll of lengthy legal battles.
David Massa fue absuelto en el tribunal de Nueva Gales del Sur de los cargos de agresión sexual por el incidente de 2024 en un club nocturno.
