EGA will own 60%, and construction is set to begin by year-end 2026, with production expected by 2030.
The project will create 1,000 permanent and 4,000 construction jobs.
It aims to reduce the U.S.’s 85% reliance on imported aluminum, supporting key industries and bolstering domestic manufacturing amid a 50% tariff on imports.
