Telangana has set a goal to become a $3-trillion economy by 2047, aligning with India’s national vision of a $30-trillion economy, as announced by Governor Jishnu Dev Varma during Republic Day 2026 celebrations.
The state unveiled its "Telangana Rising – Vision 2047" plan, outlining a three-zone strategy: the Core Urban Region Economy centered on Hyderabad, the Peri-Urban Region Economy focused on manufacturing between major ring roads, and the Rural Agriculture Regional Economy promoting farming and green initiatives.
Key initiatives include farm loan waivers, digital employment platforms, education reforms, infrastructure upgrades, and investments in renewable energy and global capability centers.
The state also emphasized regional development through urban expansion, pollution control, and major transport projects, while maintaining its status as India’s richest state by per capita income.
