The film, directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic and produced by Illumination, draws from Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Odyssey, featuring vibrant settings, action sequences, and a score by Brian Tyler using themes from the original games. It reunites the 2023 film’s voice cast, including Chris Pratt as Mario, Charlie Day as Luigi, and Jack Black as Bowser, with Brie Larson as Rosalina and Benny Safdie as Bowser Jr. The movie is in post-production, with animation complete and sound design underway.
