Michael Tomasik faces possible indefinite prison after pleading guilty to child porn charges and risking a second Dangerous Offender label.
Michael Tomasik, a 44-year-old Sudbury man with a history of child sexual offenses, is set to return to court on January 28, 2026, for the results of a psychiatric assessment that could lead to a second Dangerous Offender designation.
He pleaded guilty in March 2025 to three child pornography charges and violating a 2020 supervision order.
Court documents show he used a cellphone to access and distribute child pornography, discussed raping infants and incest, and requested photos of a woman’s young daughter and her underwear.
He also offered payment for sexual images and asked her to help arrange encounters with women who had newborns.
Though no evidence confirms he abused children, Tomasik previously served time for attempting to hire sex workers to abduct and assault minors, resulting in a prior Dangerous Offender label and a lifetime ban from child-related locations.
If the Crown seeks a second designation, he could face indefinite imprisonment.
