Matthew Upham, missing since Christmas Day, found dead in Devon after swim in rough seas.
The body of a man believed to be Matthew Upham, one of two swimmers who went missing during a Christmas Day dip at Budleigh Salterton, has been recovered from the coast near Exmouth, Devon, on January 25, 2026.
The discovery followed a large-scale emergency response involving police, coastguard, and RNLI teams.
Upham, a 63- to 64-year-old experienced swimmer, vanished in rough seas alongside another man, whose body was found earlier on January 20.
