A shooting in southeast Rochester on January 25, 2026, left one man dead and led to the arrest of a suspect, police said. Officers responded to a fatal gunshot wound in the 1200 block of Marion Rd. SE around 9:30 p.m., where the victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and pronounced dead. Minutes later, police arrested a man in connection with a reported armed burglary at a home in the 2700 block of Marion Rd. SE. Authorities confirmed the suspect and victim were related but provided no further details. The investigation is ongoing.
