Actress Sadie Frost says the Daily Mail obtained her private info via hacked voicemails from 2000–2010, calling it a traumatic privacy breach.
Actress Sadie Frost testified in a High Court trial that Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL), publisher of the Daily Mail, obtained private information about her through unlawful means, including hacked voicemails, during a period spanning 2000 to 2010.
She claimed articles about her divorce from Jude Law and an unpublished story on her 2003 ectopic pregnancy contained verbatim details that could only come from intercepted messages, describing the intrusion as deeply traumatic and a violation of her privacy.
Frost, one of seven high-profile plaintiffs including Prince Harry and Sir Elton John, said she only learned of a potential claim in 2019 and was shocked to discover her landline had been tapped.
Her legal team argued that details point to voicemail interception, possibly involving a private investigator linked to a former Mail on Sunday editor.
ANL denies wrongdoing, asserting the claims are time-barred, that information came from legitimate sources, and that Frost’s inner circle was “leaky.” The trial continues.
