West Bengal Minister Shashi Panja was summoned for a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) hearing despite her name appearing on the 2002 voter list, claiming the Election Commission’s digital system failed to recognize her registration.
She said she was the only family member called, was asked to produce 11 additional documents already submitted, and criticized the process as excessive and politically motivated.
Panja, who will attend the hearing in Kolkata, cited technical flaws in the BLO app as the likely cause.
