Students at Goa's Ayurveda institute use a 3D virtual dissection table, aided by ten donated bodies, including a fetus, to enhance anatomy learning.
Students at the All India Institute of Ayurveda in Goa are using a Virtual Dissection Table to study human anatomy, blending traditional Ayurvedic education with digital technology.
The tool allows them to explore the body layer by layer in 3D, view all systems simultaneously, and better prepare for cadaver dissection.
The institute has received ten voluntary body donations, including that of a four-month-old fetus whose family donated it after a prenatal diagnosis of a congenital heart defect.
These donations support medical education and research.
