Packers' Rasheed Walker arrested at LaGuardia for carrying unloaded gun without NY-legal license.
Rasheed Walker, 25, an offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers, was arrested at LaGuardia Airport on Friday after voluntarily disclosing an unloaded, secured firearm during a Delta flight check-in.
Authorities claimed that his Wisconsin firearm license was not valid in New York, leading to his arrest on charges of illegal possession.
Walker appeared in Queens County Court, was released that same day, and is scheduled to return on March 19.
His attorney claimed that the weapon was legally licensed in Wisconsin and that Walker was unaware of the interstate restrictions.
Walker, a seventh-round draft pick in 2022, has started 48 of 52 games and is set to become an unrestricted free agent this March.
The Packers haven't released a statement.
