BJP leaders condemn West Bengal government over alleged political violence and police inaction in Bankura.
Senior BJP leaders Suvendu Adhikari, Archana Majumdar, and Rahul Sinha condemned the West Bengal government on January 25, 2026, over alleged political violence in Bankura, accusing police of bias and inaction after a BJP youth worker’s home was attacked.
Adhikari said forensic teams arrived only after his visit, calling the response inadequate and the situation “very bad.” Majumdar accused the ruling party of undermining democracy and public safety, including for women, and expressed disbelief at the current state of the state.
Sinha linked the unrest to fears over the Election Commission’s SIR process.
The leaders urged reforms and warned of political change ahead of upcoming elections.
