Over 80% of days were classified as having good air quality, driven by the rise of new energy vehicles—over 1.3 million on roads—and clean energy, which made up 36% of the city’s electricity.
Beijing’s NEV production capacity reached 700,000 units annually, and the city plans to install 30,000 new public EV chargers in 2026.
