A 12-year-old boy in Seattle has been charged with second-degree robbery and obstructing a law enforcement officer after allegedly attacking a 43-year-old woman in an Amazon Fresh parking garage on January 17, 2026. Police say he struck her, stabbed her in the face with a screwdriver, stole her purse, and searched it before fleeing. Officers identified him through his clothing and prior encounters, arrested him at home, and recovered the screwdriver. The case will remain in juvenile court, as Washington state law prohibits transferring felony charges against 12-year-olds to adult court.
