A Saskatchewan man was charged after a Jan. 22 shooting left another man seriously injured.
A 29-year-old man from Cumberland House, Saskatchewan, has been charged with aggravated assault and discharging a firearm with intent after a shooting on January 22 left a man with serious gunshot wounds.
RCMP responded at 8 a.m. to a report outside a business, provided first aid, and transported the victim to hospital.
Investigators identified the suspect and a linked vehicle, leading to a search involving police dogs and the Critical Incident Response Team.
The suspect was arrested without incident at 1:40 p.m. at a residence.
The case is being handled by the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit.
He is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on January 26.
