PSLV launch failure on Jan. 12 won't delay India's Gaganyaan human spaceflight program, ISRO confirms.
ISRO Chairman V Narayanan confirmed on January 24, 2026, that the PSLV-C62 launch failure on January 12, which caused a flight path deviation near the end of the third stage, will not delay India’s Gaganyaan human spaceflight program, as the two projects are independent.
The mission, managed by NewSpace India Limited, carried the Anvesha/EOS-N1 satellite and 15 co-passenger satellites, including seven from private firm Dhruva Space—the first time a single Indian private company contributed multiple satellites to a PSLV launch.
ISRO is investigating the anomaly, which occurred after normal performance in earlier stages, but maintains the Gaganyaan timeline remains unaffected.
El fracaso del lanzamiento del PSLV el 12 de enero no retrasará el programa de vuelos espaciales tripulados Gaganyaan de la India, confirma la ISRO.
