India won't host Pakistan in cricket due to political tensions and security risks, per BCCI's Rajeev Shukla.
BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla said on January 24, 2026, that bilateral cricket tours between India and Pakistan are not feasible due to ongoing political tensions and security concerns, with India’s policy requiring matches to be played on third-soil venues.
He cited the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore and the 2025 military Operation Sindoor following a Pahalgam terror attack as key factors.
The last bilateral series was in 2012-13, and recent ICC-approved events like the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan and women’s World Cup matches in Sri Lanka follow a hybrid model.
Shukla confirmed the BCCI will continue to follow government directives and ICC guidelines, making full bilateral tours unlikely.
