Four men and a 17-year-old boy were sentenced to life in prison for the 2025 murder of Jordan Hogg, a 28-year-old innocent man killed in a mistaken identity attack.
The group, linked to a drugs gang, stormed Hogg’s flat in Middlesbrough believing he stole a £3,500 e-bike used by a cocaine dealer.
A 17-year-old acted as a lookout with a machete, while others attacked Hogg, resulting in a fatal neck wound.
CCTV showed the assault lasted six seconds.
All five were convicted, with minimum terms ranging from 16 to 28 years.
