A 26-year-old man has been charged in connection with a violent carjacking in southeast Rochester that occurred on January 18. According to authorities, the suspect allegedly confronted the victim at gunpoint, forced them out of their vehicle, and fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. Police say the suspect was apprehended later that day following a citywide manhunt.
