A 16-year-old Jamestown teen died after being hit by a semi-truck on icy roads Wednesday.
A 16-year-old Jamestown, North Dakota, boy died Wednesday afternoon after being struck by a semi-truck while crossing 4th Street Northeast, with icy road conditions cited as a factor.
The crash occurred at 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Street and 5th Avenue Northeast when a southbound truck turned west, hitting the teen who was walking south.
The truck driver, a 36-year-old from Lehr, was not injured and was wearing a seat belt.
Authorities have not released the teen’s name.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating.
