UOB priced AUD2 billion in five-year senior unsecured notes on January 21, 2026, with fixed-rate notes at 0.72% over the three-month BBSW, priced 2 basis points inside Australian major banks’ benchmark.
The issuance, the tightest global 5-year AUD senior unsecured deal since November 2021, drew strong demand, with a final orderbook exceeding AUD4.97 billion and a peak of AUD5.42 billion—the largest non-domestic 5-year fixed-rate tranche.
About 55% was allocated to domestic Australian investors, with 58% of the fixed-rate tranche going to real-money investors, including fund managers, corporations, and official institutions.
Geographic interest came from Australia and New Zealand, Asia, and smaller shares from EMEA.
The transaction followed a robust overnight orderbook of over AUD3.38 billion, reflecting sustained investor confidence despite global market softening.
