The couple, who met and developed a relationship while incarcerated at Jaipur’s open jail, were approved for the wedding by the Rajasthan High Court following a committee review. Their marriage ceremony, held in Barodamev, Alwar, included an engagement and traditional rituals over three days. Both remain sentenced to life imprisonment for their crimes, which include a 2018 murder linked to a dating app and a 2017 family massacre tied to an affair. The decision follows established prison regulations allowing parole for rehabilitative purposes.
