A man from Sturgeon Falls has been charged with impaired driving after his vehicle struck a guard rail on Highway 11 in Ontario. His blood alcohol level was 80 or higher, exceeding the legal limit. He was released from custody and is set to appear in North Bay’s Ontario Court of Justice on February 17, 2026. As penalties, his driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days. The OPP warned that impaired driving endangers all road users and urged the public to call 911 if they suspect a driver is under the influence.
