A Plymouth man was killed in a 2025 acid attack over drug debt, linked to a London drug boss, in a case involving ten defendants.
A 38-year-old Plymouth man, Danny Cahalane, was killed in a February 2025 acid attack at his home after allegedly falling into £120,000 in drug debt.
Prosecutors say the attack, ordered by a London-based drug boss known as Ryan Kennedy, was a targeted killing meant to send a message.
The trial at Winchester Crown Court involves ten defendants, including six Londoners and Cahalane’s ex-wife, charged with murder, attempted kidnapping, and organized crime activities.
Cahalane, a father of two, identified Kennedy as the orchestrator before dying in May.
Evidence includes threatening messages from Cahalane’s phone and a prior failed kidnapping attempt.
