Mumbai police arrest 56-year-old Ravi Pujari in 2018 extortion case linked to choreographer Remo D'Souza and his wife.
Mumbai police have arrested gangster Ravi Pujari, 56, in connection with a 2018 extortion case involving choreographer Remo D'Souza and his wife, following his transfer from a Bengaluru prison.
Pujari was produced in a Mumbai court and remanded into custody until January 27.
Authorities allege he threatened the couple and demanded ₹50 lakh over a film-related financial dispute linked to a project called Amar Must Die.
The case stems from a business disagreement between D'Souza and film producer Satyendra Tyagi, with police claiming Pujari acted on Tyagi’s behalf.
Pujari faces 49 criminal cases across multiple states, including nine pending cases with Senegal’s approval for prosecution, and is currently in custody for the second of these cases.
