The Bhaderwah Winter Carnival, launched on January 22, drew crowds and boosted tourism, with local officials highlighting improved safety and infrastructure. Authorities issued travel advisories and restricted parts of NH-44 due to slippery conditions. The snow is expected to recharge groundwater, support agriculture, improve air quality, and enhance hydel power generation. The government reiterated its goal to achieve full travel connectivity across the region by 2030.
